DIPG is the most aggressive and difficult to treat childhood cancer. There is currently no effective therapy for this devastating disease.
Thanks to the support of families and the community, Children's Cancer Institute has made great progress in finding the first effect treatment for DIPG. For the first time, scientists have been able to grow these cells in the lab and screen thousands of drugs. Several have shown promise in laboratory experiments and led to clinical trials.
